Xavier’s Baptism

Posted by Erik on July 16, 2008

I came across this video when I was cleaning out my computer. I’m so glad I looked at it. I almost lost it forever. This is my son Xavier’s baptism when he was 6 years old. The video is not good at all but it is all I have.

Xavier’s playing football

Posted by Erik on August 16, 2007

Xavier is playing flag football at his school this year. They don’t have tackle football for his age but that’s ok. I’m having fun with it anyway. His first practice was two days ago and I think he did well. We’ll see tonight with the next practice. His first game is on Saturday. We’ve been practicing in the backyard for a couple of days now. He’s improved. Now he can throw a spiral at you. We’re still working on his catching.

Stamp out Hunger Day

Posted by Erik on May 13, 2007

Today was stamp out hunger day with the post office and the Salvation Army. Xavier and I went to help out. Xavier passed out water, helped cook the hotdogs and hamburgers and helped load the trailer.

The mail carriers came in droves dropping off donated food. You would not believe the amount of food that came in. It was a semi trailer full of food. You also would not believe some of the food that was donated. Everything from fresh salmon to organic peanut butter to cookies in a jar to a half eaten bag of crackers.

Wonderful Christmas

Posted by Erik on December 29, 2006

December 29th, 2006.

Hello all. Thank you everyone for your wonderful cards and presents this year. The kids really loved all of them. I think Lydia has 5 dolls now. Xavier doubled his toys. I have a new self adjusting monkey wrench and Erica has a new Knitting book that she’s anxious to get into.

We rang bells again this year for the Salvation Army. If you haven’t done that yet I highly recommend it. Well do it again next year.

What’s up for the new year?
Erica and I are attending a school for work teaching us the ins and outs of High Speed Internet and how to get granny zooming on the internet. We have the basics now but we’ll learn the meaty stuff in school.

That’s all for now. I hope y’all enjoyed the dvd’s this year.

Xavier, the famous artist

Posted by Erik on December 13, 2006

Xavier is our famous little artist. He is enrolled in art as an elective in Kindergarten. They can choose one elective out of Dance, Art, and Marial Arts. He is alredy enrolled in Martial Arts so we decided to put him in art.

There is an art show at the school right now and we all decided to go. I thought there would be just a picture or two from each student but to my wonderful suprise there were only 2 students spotlighted on the temporary wall. Just like in the 4H fairs Xavier had his own panel. He had about 5 or 6 pieces of art spotlighted and I must say, they are really good. What made it even better is that the other panel is from Xavier’s best friend Garrison. Way to go son, I’m proud of you.
